The food and drug administration (FDA) is the agency that is mandated with the responsibility of protecting the members of public by making sure that foods are safe, properly labelled, and wholesome. They are also in charge of regulating the human as well as veterinary drugs, vaccines among others that are to be used by human beings. Furthermore, in case they become aware of products for human or animal consumption that might cause harm they have the power to recall the product.  This is what happened a few years back when it came to the attention of the FDA that there were some pet food products that were negatively affecting the health of pets such as dogs, cats.

Some of the dog owners took the FDA warning a blanket truth and shunned most of the high-cost dog food products like Avoderm food dog food which was not affected by the recall. This has been evident in the increase of its sales since the recall of other pet food products which did not affect it.

Some of the probable reasons why there was no Avoderm dog food recall are because most of their raw materials are from within the country as well as other European countries that have been known to provide authentic ingredients.

The Avoderm dog food recall was confirmed to be a hoax by many dog owners as soon as the names of the products that had been recalled were placed on the FDA website. The FDA website cleared the Avoderm products that were thought to be in the list as it was one of the most used pet food products at that time. This confirmation gave confidence to dog owners that they could purchase any of the products in the Avoderm dog food range and they were assured that their dogs would not suffer from any of the symptoms that the animals were suffering from as they used products from other manufacturers.

Since the recall a while back the Avoderm products have been growing in the market meaning that the issue of the Avoderm dog food recall hoax did not affect them negatively. On the contrary the Avoderm dog food recall that was not confirmed was a blessing in disguise. Formulas from Avoderm dog food have since not been implicated in any recall and not listed either on the FDA website. Nevertheless, as a pet owner it is important to regularly visit the FDA website so as to ensure that any of the foods that you are giving to your pet has not been recalled.
